Take advantage of the early registration discount and register by March 15! A full registration, over the course of 4 days, includes all sessions, lunch on 3 days (Tuesday to Thursday), option of one offsite Wednesday workshop (transportation included), refreshments throughout the day, and evening social events including the poster reception, scholarship fundraiser, and silent auction (light apps and cash bar), and film night (cash bar).

  • REMINDER: Apply for a Scholarship by January 7!

SORP fosters the next generation of outdoor recreation professionals by providing conference scholarships. The conference is an excellent opportunity to learn about the latest outdoor recreation research and practices and to network with other attendees. SORP strongly encourages Black, Indigenous, all Peoples of Color, members of 2SLGBTQ+ communities, and women to apply. There is no age limit for either scholarship opportunity.

NORC provides two types of scholarship opportunities:

    • Student Scholarship
Award includes: Full conference registration and a 1-year membership to SORP
    • New Professional Scholarship
Award includes: Full conference registration and a $750 stipend for travel/lodging expenses
  • Travel Award Application Now Open!

Field Inclusive is happy to offer ONE $2,000 Travel Award for a marginalized or historically excluded student to attend any conference, workshop, or training opportunity in a natural sciences field. Consider applying if you plan to attend NORC 2024!
