Current Openings

Training Specialist

We are excited to be adding to our team to better serve our members! SORP develops and delivers training content for outdoor recreation planning, program management, visitor use management, data and analysis, and related topics to help our members and the broader outdoor recreation professional community.

 We also partner with other organizations to facilitate training for communications, facilitation, trust building and other important relational skills. Our work is anchored in our commitment to justice, equity, diversity and inclusion.

 We are looking for a collaborative individual who believes in the importance of investing in people to do their best work! General duties include working with recreation and natural resource managers from federal, state, local and nonprofit organizations to assess and identify specific training needs. The individual will work with subject matter experts to develop and deliver interactive and engaging training programs in virtual and in-person settings.

Type of Role:  Part-time (contractor or employee), hourly

Location:  Remote

Salary/Pay:  $60-75/hour DOE
