Webinar 2: Understanding RV Consumer and Product Trends
January 24, 2018

The American-made RV industry is currently experiencing record growth and contributes over $50 billion to the U.S. economy and supports nearly 300,000 American workers. In 2017 the RV industry produced over 500,000 RVs, reaching a forty-year high. Over nine million, typically middle class, families own an RV as a way to discover the joy of outdoor vacations, tailgate at sporting events, relax at any of the 16,000 American public and private campgrounds or explore the open road. As the RV industry continues to grow many campgrounds are reporting significant increases in RV overnight stays.

During this presentation RVIA will discuss the factors behind the rapid growth of the industry, recent shifts in consumer demographics, wants and needs of the next generation of RVer, campaigns aimed at marketing the RV lifestyle, evolving product trends, resources available to assist public/private agencies, and the significant need for campground modernization and expansion across the country to accommodate the demand of the booming RV industry.
