Visitor Use Management Training [Virtual]

Held entirely online, this training is designed for accessibility and active engagement - no travel required. Each session builds on the last, so participants are required to attend all three days to get the most out of the experience.

This training will:

• Build a strong foundation in the Visitor Use Management Framework and its applications.

• Explore how VUM can support sustainable recreation in diverse contexts.

• Identify ways to apply planning steps and decision-making tools to real-world challenges.

• Understand how to collaborate across agencies and disciplines to elevate recreation and conservation 

• Participate in discussions, breakout groups, and case-based activities to apply concepts in real time.

This training is ideal for land and water managers at the local, state, tribal, and federal levels, as well as consultants, researchers, and educators involved in recreation management and planning.
