Towards Sustainability: Developing a Comprehensive Climate Action Plan

When:  Aug 21, 2024 from 13:00 to 14:00 (MT)

The Huron-Clinton Metroparks introduced their inaugural Climate Action Plan in 2023, focused on addressing regional needs within park boundaries and neighboring communities. Seeking input from employees, residents, and partners ensured alignment with regional concerns and interests. While acknowledging the complexity of climate challenges, the Metroparks are committed to mitigating their impact in southeastern Michigan and beyond. Join us to delve into the methodologies behind crafting the plan and to examine successes and challenges encountered in its first year. Through insightful discussions and case studies, attendees will glean valuable insights, empowering them to initiate their own climate action endeavors.
