The National Outdoor Recreation Conference, held annually by the Society of Outdoor Recreation Professionals, showcases innovative and creative approaches to nature-based outdoor recreation research, planning, and management.


Each year, the National Outdoor Recreation Conference Planning Committee works hard to curate a program that delivers rich content, engaging speakers, unparalleled learning opportunities, and exciting field workshops. To get an idea of what you can expect at the 2018 National Outdoor Recreation Conference, take a look at last year’s program.

This year SORP is partnering with South Dakota State Parks to produce the conference. The theme for the 2019 conference program is still under development. Please check back soon.
